Exercises in Regret: A Conversation with the Big Dipper

Exercises in Regret: A Conversation with the Big Dipper was originally created for a live projection on the observation dome at Shenzhen Astronomical Observatory. Bai planned to perform with a modular synthesizer, using the sound to drive generative images on the dome in real time while the Big Dipper was positioned above it. The event was cancelled by a typhoon, and the audiovisual rehearsals and recordings made in preparation were later reorganized as screen-based works, a dual-screen installation, and a sound release.

《对话北斗七星》最初为深圳天文台观测球的一次现场投影而创作。柏志威计划以模块合成器现场发声，并让声音实时驱动球体上的生成影像，与预定时刻位于上方的北斗七星同时出现。活动因台风取消，为演出留下的声像练习与记录随后被重新整理，以屏幕影像、双屏装置与声音发行等形式继续呈现。
