Sustained

Commissioned for the exhibition Trash New Order, Sustained combines used coffee grounds with resin and reshapes them into objects that still resemble crumpled discarded packaging, while giving them the function of vases. Once fresh flowers are inserted, the objects shift between “waste” and “container.” The flowers gradually wither while the stabilized form of discarded material remains.

《永续》为“垃圾新秩序”展览委托创作。柏志威把咖啡消费后的废渣与树脂重新塑造成仍像揉皱废弃包装袋的物件，却为它们留下花瓶的功能。当鲜花被插入其中，物件在“垃圾”与“容器”之间改变定义；花朵逐渐枯萎，而被固化的废物形态继续存在。
